Partner Violence

Partner Violence

If your partner has been physically violent, verbally abusive, and/or has tried to control your finances, career, access to friends/family, citizenship goals, and/or restricted your rights and freedoms in another area – help is here.  CompEAP’s Licensed Counselors provide a safe, non‑judgmental space for you to share and to consider available options.

CompEAP’s Licensed Counselors can assist in these ways:

  • Offer emotional support and discuss self-care
  • Identify supports (ex., individual counseling, support group) and provide a referral
  • Discuss ways to stay safe
  • Brainstorm different communication strategies to use with your partner
  • Share information about the psychological and physical health impacts of partner violence
  • If desired, offer a referral for a legal consultation or a financial consultation
